The Cross Keys

The Cross keys Public house was situated were the Chapel is now. In 1851 it was run by 72 year old Hugh Roberts a widow, his daughter in law Jane Jones 38 helped out as a house keeper, she had a 3 year old daughter called Margaret, there was also a servant called Jane Williams
 By 1871 the ownership had changed to Mr. Griffith Parry 62 who described himself as a Publican & Farmer his wife was Jane Parry 59, could Jane Parry be the same Jane Jones the daughter in law of 1851. and there was a servant called Jane Griffith aged 20. The had a visitor by the name of Margaret Jones 18, could she be daughter Margaret
